It's important to note the title as guided as in my experience of meditation, something I used to say I did all the time everywhere in a way that was just deep reflective thinking. I went on a journey with guided meditation firstly, through cranial sacral therapy, treatments that move at your pace to align your body without force and with the therapist I was treated by she would guide without expectation of response I never felt more in tune with the links between my thoughts and my physical body. Sessions were so powerful that I'd only need to see her every 2-3 months.
On a second stage to that journey I joined a weekly meditation group called Heartspace, a beautiful community where we held each other in the space regardless if they were on the Zoom call. Led by an intuitive soul and friend - Theresa Dhanya Adrienne. She really enabled me to trust where each session would unfold and I would reach such deep states of relaxation, recovery, healing and clarity and at other times simple calm, rest and evoked quiet. I was always amazed the power of these sessions even when transmitted over a digital format and accepted that it was due to the guided aspect.
My third stage was to share guided meditation with others and was overwhelmed and how my own state could change so positively as I guided others.
If you find self-meditation tricky or you just want to try it reach out to Theresa and join Hearstspace, a community for women or work with her 1to1, her new course 'The Practice' or even invite her into guide your business and team https://www.theresaadrienne.com/work-with-me
